Working for HLR as an Account Manager

Most mornings start with briefing sessions. Sometimes I run the session to update the team on what's happening in my HLR client accounts - I manage a number of smaller accounts as well as two larger ones.

After a few quick calls to candidates and clients, I am ready to interview. The CV seems good and we have a number of positions that may suit - I just need to prepare all the details.

What a great candidate. I now need to submit him straight away to my clients before any other consultancies do the same! I need to do some name gathering and headhunting for the senior buyer search assignment we have just taken on.

What about the rest of the team? We have a number of new starters within HLR as it is growing rapidly. I am a mentor to one and have set aside time in the morning to go through their activity and give guidance.
This afternoon I need to prepare a training session for tomorrow for Resourcing Executive's on counter-offer scenarios. All HLR Account Managers are involved in training and in assessing at our internal assessment centres. It's a really interesting side to our work and great for my own personal development.

Back to my candidates and ensuring they are all geared up for their interviews tomorrow. Then onto my clients to talk through how those interviews went. Another jam packed day - off to the pub now with the rest of the team for a well earned drink!
