Elite Hotels

Whatever comes to mind when you think of a country house hotel, prepare to have your expectations exceeded. Elite Hotels was established with the opening of Tylney Hall in 1986. Since then we have dedicated our attention to detail and loving care into just four properties.

So you could say that when it comes to creating a unique luxury country house hotel experience for our guests, we certainly can't be accused of rushing things.

Luton Hoo, for example, which is the latest addition to our portfolio, was purchased in 1999 yet didn't welcome its first guests for another 8 and ½ years. After all, making things absolutely perfect takes time, and the intervening years were spent on a lavish restoration and refurbishment programme. If it takes us a while longer to find only the right period pieces of furniture to complement the look and style of a particular room, so be it.

And we pay just as much attention and care to how we conserve our grounds and parklands. We only look for highly individual country houses and estates which have tradition and stories behind them. And even though we invest many millions in purchasing and restoring them, we don't feel like owners so much as custodians of a fine tradition, and that this is the price we happily pay for the privilege.

Our mission is to share these wonderful properties with you by offering the highest standards of facilities and service, so that what were once the sole preserves of the rich and famous can now be enjoyed by everyone including leisure guests, romantic couples, families, business people, lovers of gourmet dining and wedding parties. However, although we could be remembered for the magnificence of the historic properties themselves, we prefer to think it is the friendly and attentive service from all our staff that help our guests feel totally relaxed and which helps them to enjoy everything about these magnificent hotels to the full.
